Five people were killed on Tuesday after a BJP MLA’s car convoy was attacked by Maoists in Dantewada.
Sources from the police said the carcade of Bheema Mandavi, the MLA of Dantewada constituency, was attacked with IEDs. An SUV was blown off by Maoists in the attack.
The personal security guard of MLA Bheema Mandavi was killed in the incident.“We have reports that five jawans were killed and we are still waiting for any information about MLA because there is no mobile connection and firing is going on,” said Director General of Police, DM Awasthi .
