Statements of her friends and the varsity administration were recovered, however, no progress was made in the investigation so far, police added.

The officials detailed that Urooj had arrived at her home on March 8 and later she left for beauty parlour at 4:00 pm on the day but she did not reach there. The case turns more suspicious as she left all of her belongings including mobile and other valuables at home, police said.

Superintendent Police (SP) Gulshan said that a kidnapping case was registered by her father at Shahrea Faisal police station.

Moreover, the police department has decided to dispatch a letter to higher authorities for acquiring recordings of her telephone calls.
