Pak Navy chief meets bosses of foreign navies in China

KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi attended a ‘High Level Symposium’ and interacted with Heads of Foreign Navies during his visit to China.

It must be mentioned here that this ‘High Level Symposium’ was held as a part of celebrating 70th founding anniversary of Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in the coastal city of Qingdao.

The Naval Chief stressed light on Pakistan’s commitment and sincere attitude for fighting against every kind of terrorism and any element associated to it.

Moreover, Navy boss also told the attendees that the initiative of Pakistan Navy for Regional Maritime Security Patrols to best assist maritime security in the region has played a vital role.

The Naval Chief also addressed the audience during the symposium on the topic of ‘World Order Past and Present – Reflections at Sea and Role of Navies’.

International and panel discussions related to the maritime domains were also in limelight.

During the visit, the Naval Chief also had a fruitful interactions with top brass of Foreign Navies including Djibouti, Iran, Japan, Morocco and Poland.

Later, the Commander PLA (Navy), Vice Admiral Shen Jinlong hosted a reception in the honour of Chief of the Naval Staff, During the meeting both discussed the matters of bilateral co-operation.
