Iran navy comdr meets with Japan, Italy counterparts

The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 70th anniversary of China People’s Liberation Army Navy.

Referring to presence of the Japanese delegation led by navy commander in Iran last year, Khanzadi said despite the geographical distance between two countries, sea is the most important factor in maintaining interaction between two countries.

He vowed that Iranian naval units will visit Japan in the near future. 

Underlining the rich Iranian civilization and the experiences achieved after victory of the Islamic Revolution and also Iran-Iraq imposed war, he said that Iranians will resist against enemies cruel sanctions. 

He went on to say that Iranian navy forces are experienced in fighting pirates in international high seas.

Iran and Japan will be able to have many commonalities by taking advantage of potentials in technical, educational and research fields, Khanzadi said.

Meanwhile, Japanese commander referred to Japanese flotillas activities in the Persian Gulf, saying Japan navy will undoubtedly visit and take advantage of Iranian ports.

In a meeting with his Italian counterpart, Khanzadi said thanks to the Italian warships’ visit to Iranian ports, an Iran flotilla will be dispatched to southern ports of Italy in the future.

Appreciating Italian Naval Academy for inviting Iranian students, he said Iranian army is ready to accept military students in all levels. 

In the meantime, Italian commander invited Khanzadi to attend upcoming naval summit in Italy.

He also expressed readiness for the presence of Iranian flotilla.

The People’s Liberation Army Navy, also known as the PLA Navy, is the naval warfare branch of the People’s Liberation 

Army, which is the armed wing of the Communist Party of China and, by default, the national armed forces of the People’s Republic of China.
