ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau summoned PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on May 17 in the Park Lane case.

He has been summoned to the NAB Old Headquarters in Rawalpindi. This is the second time he will appear before NAB in the case.

During that appearance, NAB in a press release said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari were questioned by the combined investigation team under the supervision of DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Mangi for approximately two hours in three cases.

NAB also handed a questionnaire to the two on the three cases and informed that this should be submitted to the CIT within 10 days. The press release added that NAB would legally evaluate responses given by the two today and those to the questionnaire and decide if they are to be summoned in these three cases again.

in the press release also mentioned that this investigation was being done under the direct supervision of NAB chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.

Bilawal and his father Asif Ali Zardari jointly own the Park Lane Estate company, which is a Karachi-based real estate firm. The anti-graft watchdog had initiated an inquiry against them on charges that they illegally transferred forest land to the firm in collusion with some government officials.
