
NEW DELHI: Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh, where a massive fire killed 17 people in February this year, was being run like a “death trap”, says the chargesheet filed by the crime branch of Delhi Police on Tuesday that lists a series of lapses and malpractices indicting both the hotel owners and government officials.
The owners, brothers Rakesh and Sharad Indu Goel, have been charged with a range of offences, including culpable homicide, destruction of evidence and hatching a criminal conspiracy.
