According to details, Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi hosted a traditional iftar dinner to celebrate the holy month of Ramzan. Acting High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah welcomed the distinguished guests, including political personalities, community notables, sajjadah nasheens of several Sufi shrines in India, writers, journalists, academics, civil society activists, Pakistani students and other prominent prsonalities.
Some of guests were unnecessarily interrogated by the security officials upon their arrival, and were not even allowed to enter the high commission.
Following the indecent event, Pakistan has decided to lodge a strong protest with India.
On March 23, Pakistan High Commission’s guests were also harassed by Indians at Pakistan Day ceremony.
