
The conference will be attended by leaders of all major political parties of Afghanistan.
Afghan High Peace Council chairman Karim Khalili and Uzbek leader Rashid Dostum will also come to participate in the peace conference.
At least 57 delegates among 18 Afghan political parties will participate in the talks, including Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Atta Muhammad Nur, senators and members of the Afghan parliament.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will address the inaugural session of the conference.
According to details, ‘Lahore Process’ will exchange talks about bilateral relations and future harmony. Different aspects of Afghan security will also be reviewed in the conference.
The conference will establish a relation of trust between the future governments.
The Afghan peace conference will provide an overview of the trade, health, connectivity and other sectors whereas repatriation of Afghan refugees is also expected in the conference. Taliban exemption in ‘Lahore Process’ can’t be considered as a possibility for future.
This conference holds importance as it has been taking place prior to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani visit to Pakistan.
President Arif Alvi will host a dinner in the honor of Afghan members whereas they will also meet Prime Minister Imran Khan.
