Police have swarmed residential streets on a Plymouth estate this afternoon.
Residents say cops and Royal Navy bomb disposal officials have been in Kirkstall Close and Wykeham Drive, Ham.
Authorities have reportedly been in the area for the last two hours.
One woman, who lives close by, told Plymouth Live: “Police have been in Wykeham Drive all afternoon and now joined by Royal Navy bomb disposal van and people in white suits.”
Reports also suggest someone has been arrested. This has not been confirmed.
The Ministry of Defence were called out by police and have confirmed that no explosives have been involved.
