British police were earlier reported to have rushed to Buckingham Palace in order to investigate a “suspicious” car abandoned outside the gates. Police were said to be closing nearby roads after receiving unconfirmed reports of a bomb.
According to eyewitness reports shared on Twitter, police were shouting at people to move away from the palace and a section of The Mall nearby. Some claimed that around 50 policemen were present at the scene.
