Washington: Recalling the atrocities inflicted on Afghani people and children post US-Afghan War, a former US drone operator has admitted that American military is worse than the Nazis.

Known as Brandon Bryant, a former US drone operator has shared tragic and barbaric accounts of US military firing drones on people and especially children in Afghanistan.

Brandon worked for US Air Force for a period of six years. During his time with the military, he operated Predator drones which were used to fire missiles at targets more than 7,000 miles away.

Recalling one incident, Brandon said that he reached his breaking point when he killed a child in Afghanistan which his supervisors told him was a ‘dog’.

“After firing the missile, I saw a child exiting building just as the missile struck. When I told my superiors, they said that he was ‘just a fucking dog’”, Brandon shared.

In another account, he saw a man that he targeted bleed out to death.

“As the smoke cleared, I saw a guy and he’s missing his right leg above his knee. He’s holding it, and he’s rolling around, and the blood is squirting out of his leg … It took him a long time to die. I just watched him,” he shared.

He admitted killing at least 13 innocent people in different incidents and said that his squadron fired on 1,626 targets including women and children.

He also recalled the celebrations the military used to have after killing people.

“My squadron celebrated my first kill saying that I have popped the cherry.”

Following these tragic incidents, Brandon resigned from the military and began speaking out against the drone program.

Although Brandon and his have been threatened for speaking out against the drone program, he continues to highlight the issue in order to make public understand the dehumanizing effect of drone program.
