LHC’s Multan bench grants bail to Jamshed Dasti

Multan: The Multan bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted bail to former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti Dasti till February 20.

According to details, the court has granted seven-day protective bail to Jamshed Dast in an alleged oil-tanker robbery case.

The bail has been granted to Jamshed Dasti in response of a plea filed in Multan’s court.

The court, in its remarks, declared the verdict of district and sessions court in Muzaffargarh as null and void and ordered to release Jamshed Dasti immediately.

Jamshed Dasti was arrested from Multan by Muzaffargarh police on February 06 in oil trucks looting case.

The local had also arrested two colluders and two police officers in relation to this case on Tuesday.

In 2013, Dasti was sentenced to three years in prison for presenting a fake graduation degree during the general elections of 2008.
