Pakistan successfully test fires cruise missile Ra’ad 2: ISPR

Pakistan has conducted the successful flight test of Air-Launched Cruise Missile ‘Ra’ad-II’.

According to ISPR, the training launch was aimed at ensuring the operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command, responsible for Pakistan’s cruise missile forces.

The military’s media wing added that the air to surface and underwater cruise missile Ra’ad is capable of delivering multiple types of warheads upto 600 KMs.

It is essentially a flying bomb, generally designed to carry a large conventional or nuclear warhead many hundreds of miles with high accuracy. Modern cruise missiles can travel at supersonic or high subsonic speed.

It is pertinent to remember that on January, 23, 2020 the Pakistan Army has successfully test-fired a surface-to-surface ballistic missile ‘Ghaznavi’.
