Former Karachi mayor Naimatullah Khan passed away in the city on Tuesday after a long battle with an illness.
The former mayor was a longstanding member of Jamat-i-Islami and the party’s naib ameer Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui confirmed the news of his passing. He is survived by 12 children.
Khan’s family have said that his funeral prayers will be conducted on Wednesday.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail expressed great sorrow at the the former nazim’s passing.
