Pakistan and Afghanistan agree to ‘immediate ceasefire’

Embroiled in fighting that has killed dozens of people, the two countries pledged on Sunday to respect a ceasefire. The truce, mediated by Turkey and Qatar, came into effect immediately and is intended to pause hostilities.
