French government faces no-confidence threat over wealth tax

‘We need to tax the ultra-rich,’ Socialist leader Olivier Faure said. ‘If there is no progress by Monday, it will be over,’ he said, in a threat to oust the government if it does not include a wealth tax in the 2026 budget bill.
