Iraqi attack helicopters conducted a precise attack against Islamic State (IS) militates in the remote areas of Diyala province on Tuesday, killing at least seven jihadists.
A military source told BasNews that the airstrikes targeted IS hideouts near Beiji, outside Jalawla and Qaratappa districts.
He said the bodies of jihadists were retrieved, but their identity remains unknown.
The strike comes a day after IS jihadists ambushed Iraqi forces near Qaratappa. They killed four soldiers and injured nine others.
